Get clear answers about the Mean Girls Burn Book Tumbler: 24 oz capacity, lid and straws, dishwasher safety, hot drinks, and gift appeal.
Quick answer
The Mean Girls Burn Book Tumbler is a 24-ounce insulated cup with a lid and two straws, best treated as hand-wash-first drinkware to preserve its licensed design and insulation over time.
Why hand washing matters for licensed drinkware
Even when a tumbler looks sturdy, the printed design on licensed movie drinkware can be more delicate than the stainless steel beneath it. High heat and harsh detergent cycles may dull colors or weaken the bond over repeated washes. Hand washing with mild soap and a soft sponge protects both the finish and the vacuum seal, and it takes only a minute longer than loading the dishwasher.
Hot drinks and the lid: what to expect
The tumbler is described as keeping drinks hot or cold, but the included lid and straws are designed for spill reduction, not leak-proof travel. If you fill it with coffee or tea, remove the straw and sip carefully from the lid opening, and keep the cup upright. For commuting or tossing into a bag, treat it as a desk or car cup rather than a fully sealed travel mug.
When 24 ounces is the right size — and when it isn't
Twenty-four ounces suits most desk days, movie nights, and short outings without constant refills. It is less ideal if you need a cup that fits a narrow car cupholder or if you prefer a smaller vessel for portion control. Check your cupholder and daily water goals before buying; the right size is the one you will actually carry and refill.
Common questions about the Burn Book Tumbler
- Is the Burn Book Tumbler dishwasher safe?
- The supplied product information does not state dishwasher safety. To protect the printed design and insulation, hand wash the tumbler and lid with mild soap and a soft sponge, and rinse the straws thoroughly after each use. When a care claim is missing, choose the gentler method.
- Can I use it for hot coffee or tea?
- The tumbler is described as keeping drinks hot or cold. For hot drinks, remove the straw and use the lid opening to sip, and keep the cup upright since the lid is not described as leak-proof. Hot drinks are fine, but skip the straw and avoid bag transport.
- How many straws come with it?
- The set includes two straws along with the lid. That gives you a spare while one is being cleaned, which is handy for daily use. Two straws mean less hand-washing between drinks.
- Is it a good gift for a Mean Girls fan?
- As officially licensed Mean Girls merch, it suits fans of the movie who want a practical cup with a recognizable Burn Book design. It is a straightforward gift for birthdays, holidays, or a movie-night exchange, especially when paired with a favorite drink mix. Licensed design plus everyday usefulness makes it an easy fan gift.
- Will the print fade over time?
- The catalog does not specify a print lifespan. Hand washing and avoiding abrasive cleaners are the simplest ways to slow fading and keep the Burn Book look sharp. Treat the print like a favorite T-shirt: gentle care, longer life.
